Gunsan Inner Harbor was the center of logistics and distribution where the Jowoon Warehouse, which stored and transported the Honam region after Goryeo, was operated because of its geographical feature located in the Geum River Estuary and the west coast of the central region. Because of this role as a maritime transport route, the axis airline as a modern port was promoted after the port was opened in 1899, and a floating bridge pier was also built at this time.
The Bujeom Bridge, located in the inner port of Gunsan, is an artificial structure built to overcome the natural environment of the west coast, where the tidal flat is exposed at low tide due to severe tidal differences. The basic form is a form in which a bridge that moves up and down according to the level of seawater and a concrete ship connected to the bridge are made integrally, and a concrete ship is used as a berthing facility at low tide.
