Most of the current rickshaws are made of stainless steel, so they are not rusted and have excellent durability. The chairs and handles of the Arirang rickshaws imported from Japan are made of wood. There are also rickshaws in China, Southeast Asia, and India, but wood is the best when it comes to restraining rickshaw shakes by the handle itself. The wooden handle is also thin and, due to the nature of the tree, it swings enough to be felt when a person gets on or off. However, there is a hidden secret here, it plays the role of suppressing the vibrations that occur up and down while driving. It can be seen as the optimum thickness found while manufacturing rickshaws for a long time. In addition, for experienced rickshaw drivers, it provides passengers with a feeling of sliding without shaking.
